Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 2 tsp ghee
  4. 1/2 cup water
  5. Cashew nuts handful chopped
  6. Cardamom crushed 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take besan in a bowl and add 1 tsp melted ghee and mix properly. Rub with hand for sometime so that small boondi is formed. Sieve it.
  2. Heat a pan, put ghee and add this sieved besan, simmer and roast on a low flame till it changes colour to golden brown and aroma starts coming.
  3. Transfer it in a bowl to cool. When cooled, add some chopped cashew nuts and cardamom.
  4. In another pan take 1/2 cup sugar and add water. Cook sugar syrup till 2 tar consistency. Keep stirring.
  5. Transfer sugar syrup in the besan and mix properly. Pour in a greased tray to set. Garnish with cashew nuts and press with a flat spoon to let it stick. Allow to set and after one hour cut into pieces.
