Ingredients to make Marble chocolate gems cake

  • malai 1 1/2 cup
  • sugar powder 1 1/2 cup
  • maida 2 cups
  • Baking powder 1 tbsp
  • baking soda 1 tsp
  • Cocoa powder 1 tsp
  • Chocolate powder 1 tsp
  • Coffee 1 tsp
  • Milk 1 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence a few drops
  • For chocolate ganache: 100 gms amul cream
  • Dark chocolate 250 - 300 gms
  • Gems and dairy milk for decoration

How to make Marble chocolate gems cake

  1. Prepare chocolate ganache: Take a bowl, add in amul cream packet, microwave it to bring it to almost boil. Slowly mix chopped dark chocolate pieces. Mix it well till smooth. Keep aside and let it cool.
  2. Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade.
  3. For marble cake: Sieve maida, baking powder, baking soda together. Keep aside. Take a bowl, add in malai and sugar powder. Whisk it with a soft hand till mixed well.
  4. Add 1 tsp maida mixture and 1 spoon milk. Add one after the other, repeat the process and mix well. Lastly add the vanilla essence. White batter is ready.
  5. Take an empty bowl, take out some white batter. Put cocoa powder, coffee and chocolate powder. Mix well, brown batter is ready.
  6. Grease a cake tin with oil, sprinkle some maida. Pour white batter then pour brown batter at 3 different places. With the help of a spoon makes marble effect all over.
  7. Bake at 180 degree centigrade for 35 minutes. Check with toothpick, if necessary bake for another 5 minutes.
  8. Icing and decoration: Let the cake cool at room temperature. Take out the cake on a plate or a cardboard. Pour chocolate ganache all over, smooth it with a spatula from all the sides. Sprinkle gems all over. On corners use dairy milk or kitkat to make boundary.
  9. Take a straw with the help of melted chocolate stick gems on half of the straw. On the other half stick empty packet of gems with the help of melted chocolate. Tuck this straw on the cake, it looks like gems are falling from the packet.
  10. Marble chocolate gems cake is ready.
