Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Beetroot - 1, big chopped
  2. Carrot - 2, chopped
  3. Potato - 1, chopped
  4. Tomato - 1, chopped
  5. Onion - 3, medium, chopped
  6. Green peas 1/2 cup
  7. Capsicum 1/2, chopped
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil as required
  10. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  12. Grinding masala:
  13. Grated coconut 3 tbsp
  14. Rice powder 1 tsp
  15. Garlic cloves 4-5
  16. Clove 4
  17. Green chilli 5
  18. Khus khus 1/2 tsp
  19. Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  20. Nutmeg 1

Instructions

  1. Soak green peas in hot water for 2 hours.
  2. Grind the ingredients listed under grinding section into a coarse paste.
  3. Take a cooker. Add oil. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
  4. Then add tomato, other vegetables and fry for sometime.
  5. Now add soaked green peas and mix well.
  6. Add the ground masala, salt and garam masala.
  7. Add water just 1 inch above the vegetables and close the lid.
  8. Pressure cook for 5 whistles. Let the cooker cool. Open the lid of the cooker and add chopped capsicum and bring to a boil.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis.
