Simple Peach Cobbler

Ingredients to make Simple Peach Cobbler

  • 3 - 4 Ripe Peaches peeled and diced
  • 1 Cup of Milk (Full cream : Optional)
  • 1/2 Cup of Powdered sugar add 2 Tbsp for extra sweetness
  • 1 Large egg or 2 small ones
  • 1 Cup Refined flour
  • 2 Tsp Baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • A pinch of salt (Can be omitted if using salted butter)

How to make Simple Peach Cobbler

  1. Melt the butter in a glass dish.
  2. Mix all the wet ingredients separately in a bowl with a mixer in the following order : Egg, Sugar & Milk.
  3. Mix the flour and baking powder and add gradually to the wet mixture. Ensure no lumps are formed.
  4. Pour this cake like batter mixture in the glass dish lined with butter.
  5. Now, start placing the sliced cut peaches on top of it and tip them in gently, one by one. They will float on top.
  6. Make sure the oven is preheated at 200 °C, bake for 30 minutes
  7. Bake till the upper part browns a little.

My Tip:

Add in spices or nuts to enhance the flavour .
