Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Chocolate Cake

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 1 cup
  • Baking Powder 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • eggs 2
  • olive oil or any oil 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp

How to make Whole Wheat Chocolate Cake

  1. Sieve wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. Keep aside.
  2. Beat eggs, sugar and oil for about 5-7 minutes till sugar dissolves.
  3. Fold in the dry ingredients. Add vanilla essence. Mix well.
  4. Add milk to adjust consistency. Garnish with cashews (optional).
  5. Pour the batter in a greased baking tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

My Tip:

My cake was ready in about 16 minutes. So keep checking after 15 minutes. It might get dry and lose its moisture due to overbaking.
