#Palak Paneer

Ingredients to make #Palak Paneer

  • Fresh spinach 750 gms
  • cottage cheese 250 gms
  • tomatoes 2 big
  • ginger 1 inch
  • green chillies 4
  • salt to taste
  • sugar 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • All spice powder 1/4 tsp
  • ghee 1 tbsp
  • Fresh cream 1 tbsp

How to make #Palak Paneer

  1. Remove stalks from spinach leaves. Wash leaves properly.
  2. Boil water in a big pan. When water starts boiling, add in washed spinach. When water again start boiling set the flame to sim. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes drain and put in cold water to retain its green color.
  3. When it cools, grind in a mixer with ginger and green chilli.
  4. Heat a wok. Add ghee, when it is hot add in the pureed tomatoes.
  5. Add salt and red chilli powder. Stir fry till the oil separates.
  6. Add half a cup of water and cook for a minute.
  7. Add pureed spinach and sugar. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Add in the cottage cheese cut in cubes. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  9. Season with all spice powder and turn off the gas.
  10. Mix the cream in the ready palak paneer just before serving, it enhances both taste and texture.
