Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients to make Tandoori Chicken

  • chicken 1 full
  • ginger Garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder 1/2 - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • Charcoal 1 piece
  • oil as required
  • butter as required

How to make Tandoori Chicken

  1. Clean the chicken and put cuts on it with a knife.
  2. Add curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle oil and butter on a non stick tawa.
  4. Put the chicken pieces on it and saute for a few minutes, flip and let it fry on the other side too.
  5. Cook on a medium flame for 12 minutes. Check if it is done by pricking with a knife into the pieces.
  6. Keep the pieces in a deep bowl. Make a little space for the small bowl to be kept in the middle.
  7. Heat charcoal and put it in a small steel bowl and put half a teaspoon of oil and close the lid of the deep bowl.
  8. After 1 minute open the lid and serve the chicken with fresh onion and lemon. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
