Tamatari Baingan

Ingredients to make Tamatari Baingan

  • Baigan 1/2 kg
  • tomatoes 4 big
  • onions 2 medium-sized
  • garlic 5 buds
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • jeera 1 tsp
  • hing a pinch
  • haldi powder 1/2 tsp
  • dhania powder 1 tsp
  • Lal mirch powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • namak as per taste
  • water if required

How to make Tamatari Baingan

  1. Wash and cut brinjals, tomatoes, onions and garlic. Keep aside.
  2. Make puree with onion, tomatoes and garlic buds.
  3. Take a kadhai. Add oil, jeera and hing.
  4. Add in sliced onion and saute.
  5. Add puree and all the dry ingredients and let it cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Add brinjals and mix well. Put lid on the kadhai and let it cook for sometime and stir occasionally.
  7. Serve hot with chapatis.

My Tip:

Only tomato puree can also be used.
