Chinese Sesame chicken

Ingredients to make Chinese Sesame chicken

  • chicken boneless pieces
  • For marination of chicken pakoda-
  • salt
  • pepper 1 tsp
  • Soya Sauce 1 Tbsp
  • egg 1
  • Corn flour 4 tbsp
  • oil for frying
  • For semi gravy-
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • capsicum cut in to squares 1 cup
  • onion bulbs 1 cup
  • sesame seeds 2 tsp
  • Dark Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • vinegar 1 tsp
  • Schezwan sauce 1 1/2 tbsp
  • red chilli sauce 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
  • chicken stock 1 cup
  • pepper 1 tsp
  • salt as taste
  • chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Celery for garnish

How to make Chinese Sesame chicken

  1. For chicken pakoda- Mix all ingredients together and marinate and keep for 15 min and deep fry it and keep aside.
  2. For the gravy- In an another wok heat oil add crushed garlic whole red chilli saute then add salt sesame seeds then add all sauces and saute. Then add the chicken stock, once a boil comes add the capsicum and onion bulbs and chicken pakodas and pepper. Then after a little cooking thicken the gravy with Corn flour water mix. Add in chilli flakes if taste sweet. Garnish with celery leaves.
  3. Serve with hakka noodles.

My Tip:

You can use chicken cube in water instead of chicken stock if not available.
