Chocolate/Banana Icecream

Ingredients to make Chocolate/Banana Icecream

  • bananas about 4 frozen (for atleast 2 hours)
  • You can freeze them for more time if the weather is hot.
  • Peel them off and cut them into 2 or 3 pieces before freezing.
  • Cocoa powder 3 tbsp heaped
  • Milk about a cup
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • Caster sugar 3/4th cup
  • Toasted almonds and walnuts 1/2 cup
  • Chocolate sprinkles few

How to make Chocolate/Banana Icecream

  1. Mix cocoa powder, butter and sugar in the milk and cook on low to medium flame stirring it.
  2. As soon as it thickens,switch off the flame.
  3. No need to thicken it much, just see to it that it is a semi thick mix.
  4. Let it cool.
  5. Now blend the bananas with this cocoa mix until well blended.
  6. No need to add any condensed milk or even cream because bananas give a creamy texture to the ice cream.
  7. Toss in the toasted nuts and freeze for as long as 8 hours.
  8. In between after every 2 hours, just give it a good mix.
  9. Yummy ice cream is ready to serve in 6 to 8 hours depending on the temperature in your place.
  10. Serve it with chocolate sprinkles and some toasted nuts.

My Tip:

No need of any cream or condensed milk. Just add caster sugar. If you are not using caster sugar, then add 2 tbsp of cornflour to the cocoa mix.
