Ingredients to make Paneer 65/Chenna Bhaja

  • paneer(cut into shapes you desire) 200 Grams
  • green chillies 2-3 Numbers
  • garlic 3-4 Clove
  • curry leaves 1 Sticks
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 Teaspoons
  • Rice flour 1 Tablespoons
  • All-purpose flour (Maida) 1 Tablespoons
  • salt to taste
  • Garam masala 1 Teaspoons
  • curd 2 Tablespoons
  • lemon juice 1 Teaspoons
  • oil to fry

How to make Paneer 65/Chenna Bhaja

  1. 1. In the blender, blend few green chillies, garlic and curry leaves to a slightly coarse paste.
  2. 2. Remove this into a bowl and add Kashmiri red chilli powder (gives a nice reddish colour to the paneer pieces after frying), rice flour, all purpose flour, salt, garam masala, lemon juice, curd and mix all the ingredients well to a Paste.
  3. 3. Add little water if required to slightly dilute the paste. Sprinkle some flour on the paneer pieces and keep aside.
  4. 4. Gently add the paneer pieces into the masala mix paste and mix well so that all the pieces are coated well with the masala.
  5. 5. Heat some oil in a pan/ kadai and when it gets hot, add in the paneer pieces in batches and deep fry until they become crisp and golden in colour.
  6. 6. Paneer 65 can be eaten by itself as a snack or serve with Paratha or sauce.
