Eggless Zebra (marble) Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Zebra (marble) Cake

  • 200 gms - Regular Flour (maida)
  • 1 Teaspoon - Baking Soda
  • 240 ml - milk (room temperature)
  • 1 Teaspoon - Vinegar
  • 200 gms - Powdered sugar
  • 120 ml - Regular / Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon - Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Tablespoon - cocoa powder

How to make Eggless Zebra (marble) Cake

  1. Butter a cake tin.
  2. Pre - heat the oven at 175 degree Celsius
  3. Sift together flour and baking soda
  4. Mix together milk, sugar, vinegar and oil
  5. Add the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients in 2 batches
  6. Divide the batter equally in 2 bowls
  7. Sift cocoa powder in one of the bowls and mix well
  8. Spoon two tablespoons of the plain mixture into the centre of the cake tin. Straight away spoon two tablespoons of the chocolate mixture on top. Continue doing this until all the mixture has been used.
  9. You will end up with lots of alternate rings of mixture in the tin.
  10. Bake for 35 minutes at 150°C or until the toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool the cake on a wire rack and serve.
