Dal Makhni

Ingredients to make Dal Makhni

  • rajma....100gm
  • Moth...50gm
  • onion...2 pcs
  • ginger garlic paste...2tsp
  • tomato puree...1 cup
  • turmeric powder... 1 tsp
  • chilli powder... 1 tsp
  • Garam masala....1 tsp
  • jeera....1/2 tsp
  • oil...2 tsp
  • Cream and coriander....for garnish

How to make Dal Makhni

  1. 1) Soak rajma and moth overnight.
  2. 2) Boil rajma and moth for 1 whistle in pressure cooker adding salt.
  3. 3) Take z pan. Add oil. Put jeera. Then add chopped onion. Saute till it turns pink.
  4. 4) Now add ginger garlic paste. Cook for two minutes. Add tomato puree. Cook for five minutes.
  5. 5) ,Now add all masala. Cook for 2 minutes.
  6. 6) Now add this mixture in the cooker. Add salt as required.
  7. 7) Pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  8. 8) Its ready. Garnish with cream and fresh coriander.

My Tip:

During cooking add 1/2 tsp of sugar to retain the colour of tomato.
