ABOUT Chocolate cake Gujiya RECIPE

Puff pastry crusted gujiya, filled with chocolate cake.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1/2 kg puff pastry
  2. 200 gms chocolate cake crumbs
  3. 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
  4. Handful of almonds chopped
  5. 1 egg
  6. All purpose flour and water mixed together to form a paste
  7. Oil for greasing
  8. Chocolate Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Crush the cake, mix chocolate chips and chopped almonds. Keep aside.
  3. Thinly roll out the puff pastry dough.
  4. Cut into circles.
  5. Into the circles, fill the cake mixture.
  6. Seal with all purpose flour paste. Seal again with fork tongs.
  7. On a greased tray, keep the gujiyas.
  8. Brush the beaten egg on each gujhiya.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes or till nicely brown.
  10. Remove from oven and let it cool. Once cool, top with chocolate sauce.
