Ingredients to make Gobhi Masala

  • cauliflower florets 2 cup (cut in to big pieces)
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • onion 2 chopped
  • tomato chopped 1 cup
  • Spring onion chopped 1 cup
  • garlic 6 cloves
  • ginger 1 big piece
  • salt as per taste
  • cumin 1 tsp
  • Big cardamom 1
  • Green cardamom 2
  • cloves 2
  • cinnamon 1 inch piece
  • Black pepper 8
  • red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 small spoon
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Gobhi Masala

  1. First grind onion, garlic, ginger and all whole spices in mixer jar.
  2. Shallow fry cauliflower in 1 tbsp oil. Heat oil in a wok or pan, put grind masala in hot oil and fry till oil leaves on medium flame. Add chopped tomatoes, spring onion and all spices powder, salt and mix well. Fry for 4 to 5 mins.
  3. Add fry cauliflower and fry for 3 to 4 mins on high flame. Add one cup of water and cover it on sim flame till done...garnished with fresh coriander leaves and serve with chapati.
