  • tomato 2 chopped
  • Dry red chilly 3
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • cinnamon 1 inch stick
  • cardamom 2
  • cloves 3
  • bay leaf 1
  • star anise 1 small
  • chilly powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  • fennel powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • mustard Oil 5 tsp

How to make Aloo Gosht

  1. Take the mutton in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add all the ingredients mentioned above except the lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.
  3. Cover the cooker with a lid (do not close the pressure cooker now) and cook in low medium flame stirring in continously. Cook till the water that oozes out from the mutton dries up and oil starts to leave from sides which will take around 5-10 mins.
  4. Now add water covering the mutton and pressure cook for 10-15 mins.
  5. Let the pressure release by itself. Open the cooker and adjust the gravy consistency, add chopped coriander leaves and the lemon juice, give a quick stir and take off the heat.
