Butterscotch Cake

Ingredients to make Butterscotch Cake

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk (butterscotch flavour)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter salted
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup amul cream

How to make Butterscotch Cake

  1. Take sugar in a pan. Heat on a low flame till it melts and is amber in colour, add butter and mix properly.
  2. Now add 1/2 cup milk. Mix on low flame for 1 min.
  3. Now add 2 tsp of amul cream. Mix and add 1/4 cup condensed milk. Add 1/4 cup of water, mix properly so that sugar does not get hard.
  4. Let it cool. Add 1 cup flour and baking powder and mix in one direction.
  5. Add remaining cream. Add remaining milk ( if required ). Consistency should be idli type. Mix properly without lumps.
  6. Now in 1 tsp of lemon juice add 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Bubbles will rise up. Add to batter. Put the batter into greased tin. Bake in preheated oven at 180 for 40 min.

My Tip:

If you do not have butterscotch flavored condensed milk you can add few drops of butterscotch essence.
