Banana Cake

Ingredients to make Banana Cake

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil (refined)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 - 4 bananas Ripe and mashed
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence

How to make Banana Cake

  1. Line the tin with butter paper. Pre heat the oven at 150 °C.
  2. In a bowl which the oil and sugar till it turns creamy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one by one.
  4. Set aside the flour and mix in the baking powder and baking soda. Then add spoonful at a time in the wet mixture.
  5. Add in the mashed bananas, vanilla essence and the pinch of salt
  6. Pour in the mixture and bake for 45 to 55 minutes. Checking by inserting a toothpick in the middle so it comes out clean.
My Tip: If you don't have ripe bananas, bake them for 4 to 5 minutes in an oven at 200° C.
