Kalakand is not just a creamy fudge or milky bar. It is one of the classic Indian sweet dishes that can be made during festivals or any special occasion.
Combine all the ingredients except dry fruits in a deep non stick pan, mix all very well.
Cook the mixture on low medium heat for 10 -15 minutes or till the mixture thickens and starts to leave sides of the pan.
Stir continuously while scraping the sides of the pan in-between.
Now remove the pan from the heat and mix the cardamom powder in it properly.
Transfer the mixture into a greased tray or thali, keep it aside for cooling.
After that sprinkle some chopped pistachios and press them lightly. Let it sit for 2 - 3 hours to set it perfectly.
Now cut it into squares and garnish with edible silver Verk. Take them out carefully on a serving plate.
