Ingredients to make Sweet Internet

  • For carrot halwa:
  • 2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Khoya
  • pinch of cardamom powder
  • Dry fruits as required
  • For internet basket:
  • 1 1/2 cup maida
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • salt a pinch
  • water as required

How to make Sweet Internet

  1. Heat ghee, add carrot and milk, stir it and cover the kadai.
  2. Add sugar, when the carrot becomes soft and dry. Continue to cook till sugar dries up.
  3. Add khoya, cardamom powder and dry fruits. Carrot halwa is ready.
  4. Making of basket:
  5. Make a hard dough with maida, oil, salt and water.
  6. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  7. Make a thin big roti and cut to a round size (same size with glass).
  8. Roll another roti and cut to make strips for net (top part).
  9. Take small cup cake size katori and place the round cut in it.
  10. Smoothen the edges with very little water. Stuff 1 tbsp of carrot halwa and close the top with thin strips, forming a net.
  11. Transfer it in a greased cup cake tray.
  12. Brush milk on the top.
  13. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree centigrade for 25 minutes.
  14. Sweet Internet is ready to serve.
