Instant Oats Utappa

Ingredients to make Instant Oats Utappa

  • Instant cooking oats 1 cup
  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • sooji 1/4 cup
  • salt as per taste
  • carrot grated 1/4 cup
  • capsicum grated 1/4 cup
  • ginger 2 inches chopped into fine pieces
  • green chillies 4 chopped finely
  • onion 1 cup finely chopped
  • pepper 1 table spoon
  • Beaten curd 1 cup
  • Kasuri methi 1/2 table spoon (optional)
  • tomato 1 medium finely chopped
  • jeera 1 table spoon
  • coriander leaves 1 bunch finely chopped
  • oil to shallow fry
  • water sufficient to make the batter

How to make Instant Oats Utappa

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil, kasuri methi and water.
  2. Mix well & add water if required.
  3. In a non stick pan, add oil, the batter and top it with kasuri methi. If you need, you can top up with extra pepper for extra spiciness.
  4. Cover with a lid and let it cook on medium and turn it.
  5. Let it cook for few more minutes.
  6. Your oats utappa is ready.
