Eggless chocolate cake with Ganache

Ingredients to make Eggless chocolate cake with Ganache

  • 200 gms butter
  • 200 gms flour
  • 1 cup dahi/yoghurt
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 200 gms all purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 60 gms cocoa powder
  • For the Ganache: Chocolate 100 - 200 gms
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1-2 Tbsp Butter

How to make Eggless chocolate cake with Ganache

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa powder together.
  2. Prepare a cake tin by greasing it and lining with butter paper.
  3. Pre heat oven at 180 degrees celsius. In a large bowl, add the sugar and butter, beat till well mixed, add the yoghurt and essence. Beat again.
  4. Finally, add the flour mixture, fold with a spatula till well mixed and pour into the cake tin.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean.
  6. Note- This can be done in a microwave in 6 minutes also.
  7. For the Ganache: Place chocolate in a medium heatproof bowl; set aside.
  8. Place cream in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Pour over chocolate and let stand until chocolate has softened, about 5 minutes.
  9. Add butter and stir until smooth. Let cool slightly before using.

My Tip:

Top the cake with chocolate ganache and cover the sides with sprinkles
