Pink Delight

Ingredients to make Pink Delight

  • watermelon (diced) - 2 cups
  • Frozen Milk cubes - 1 cup
  • cinnamon powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Seedless Black dates - 1/2 cup
  • honey - 2 teaspoon
  • sugar - 2 cups
  • water - 1 cup
  • Boiled Milk - 2 tablespoon
  • nutmeg powder - 2 pinches
  • Dry fruits paste(any) - 1/4 cup
  • almonds for garnishing

How to make Pink Delight

  1. Preparation of Frozen milk cubes - Freeze milk in ice cube trays until blocks are formed.
  2. Preparation of Dates paste - Meanwhile, make a thin paste of dates, boiled milk and honey such that the consistency of the paste binds to the walls of the serving glass.
  3. Apply this paste as a bottom layer on the inner surface of the serving glass and allow it to refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Preparation of Sugar syrup - In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat and bring to a boil, without stirring.
  5. Boil until the syrup is a deep amber color, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the sugar syrup from the heat.
  6. Preparation of Smoothie - Now, remove the seeds from the watermelon. Blend the diced watermelon along with the frozen milk cubes, cinnamon powder, dry fruits paste and 1.5 cups of sugar syrup to form a smoothie.
  7. Then take out the serving glass from the refrigerator and pour the smoothie above the dates layer. Sprinkle nutmeg powder on top of it to enrich the flavour.
  8. Garnish it with almonds. Serve cold.

My Tip:

The addition of frozen milk cubes enhances the taste and gives a unique taste to the smoothie. You can opt any dry fruit paste. I preferred paste of raisins and walnut.
