Ingredients to make Bruschetta

  • 1 baguette loaf (cut into 10 slices)
  • Olive oil-garlic mixture:
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Topping mixture:
  • 1 cup tomatoes seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic finely grated
  • Handful of basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated or cut into small cubes
  • 3-4 black olives thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • salt according to taste

How to make Bruschetta

  1. Take a bowl and combine all the topping mixture ingredients together. Keep aside.
  2. Grease a baking tray with olive oil. Then place the bread slices on it and brush the olive oil-garlic mixture on top of each slice.
  3. Bake and cook at 180 degree celsius for a period of 4-5 minutes or till the slices are crisp and golden in colour.
  4. Once cooked, let the bread slices cool down for 1 minute.
  5. Using a spoon, put the topping mixture on top of each bread slice and serve at once.
