ABOUT Bruschetta RECIPE

This traditional Italian dish is a mix of beautiful flavours and textures that instantly burst in your mouth.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 baguette loaf (cut into 10 slices)
  2. Olive oil-garlic mixture:
  3. 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  4. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  5. Topping mixture:
  6. 1 cup tomatoes seeded and finely chopped
  7. 1 teaspoon garlic finely grated
  8. Handful of basil leaves
  9. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  10. 2 tablespoon olive oil
  11. 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated or cut into small cubes
  12. 3-4 black olives thinly sliced (optional)
  13. 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  14. Salt according to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and combine all the topping mixture ingredients together. Keep aside.
  2. Grease a baking tray with olive oil. Then place the bread slices on it and brush the olive oil-garlic mixture on top of each slice.
  3. Bake and cook at 180 degree celsius for a period of 4-5 minutes or till the slices are crisp and golden in colour.
  4. Once cooked, let the bread slices cool down for 1 minute.
  5. Using a spoon, put the topping mixture on top of each bread slice and serve at once.
