ABOUT Savory Egg French Toast RECIPE

This is one of my favourite recipes, I had eaten it first at my Bengali friend's place. It was deep fried as I remember, I made it with less oil and used brown bread.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 small eggs
  2. 1 tablespoon water
  3. 1 onion finely chopped
  4. 1 green chilly
  5. 4-5 slices of brown bread

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs well, add water, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and beat again. Then add all cut ingredients - green chilly and onion.
  2. Take a brown bread slice on your hand and spread the mixture with a spoon.
  3. Grease the pan with some oil, I took coconut oil, and keep the filling portion on the tawa, let it fry till brown spots appear.
  4. Meanwhile, apply the batter on the side facing you, once the other side is ready to flip, fry this side.
  5. Cut according to your choice, cubes or triangles and serve with tomato ketchup.
