Danish Butter Cookies

Ingredients to make Danish Butter Cookies

  • 200 gms – Unsalted butter softened
  • 150gms – Icing sugar
  • 310gms – all purpose flour
  • 1 no – egg
  • 1 no – vanilla bean
  • 1 to 2 tbsp – Milk

How to make Danish Butter Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Cream the butter, vanilla and icing sugar till and fluffy. Add the egg and beat till well mixed.
  3. Add the flour and fold using a spatula till the mixture comes together and if the mixture is too dry, add the 1-2 tbsp of milk until a soft but firm batter is formed.
  4. Create the cookie shapes using piping bag or simply dropping a tsp of batter onto the sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or till the cookies turn nice and golden.
  5. Cool for 10 minutes on a cooling rack then sprinkle with icing sugar.

My Tip:

If you do not have a piping bag, just scoop the batter with spoon and drop it on the baking sheet.
