Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All Purpose flour: 250gms
  2. Powdered Sugar: 200gms
  3. Butter: 150gm
  4. Egg: 3
  5. Vanila Essence: 1 Tea spoon
  6. Baking Powder: 1 Tea Spoon
  7. Dulce de leche: 1/2 Cup + 3 Table Spoon
  8. Fresh Cream: 1/4 Cup
  9. Sugar Syrup: 1/2 Cup (4 Tbsp sugar boiled in 1/2 Cup water)
  10. Sprinklers/Cherries: For Garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 150°C
  2. Prepare the cake tin by spreading a little butter all around the tin and then add little flour and spread it to all sides uniformly. Knock off the excess flour
  3. Sieve all purpose flour and baking powder. Beat powdered sugar and butter until it becomes smooth. Add eggs one by one and beat well. Add 3 table spoon of dulce de leche and beat until it becomes smooth.
  4. Add vanilla essence and sieved flour mix little by little and mix well. Pour this to the cake tin and place in the oven.
  5. Bake at 150°C for about 25 to 30 minutes. Insert a wooden skewer in the middle and check. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready
  6. Once it cools cut the cake horizontally into 2 layers. Using an electric beater combine dulce de leche and fresh cream. Beat until it becomes smooth and fluffy.
  7. Place a layer of cake on the setting plate. Drizzle some sugar syrup and apply enough amount of the dulce de leche cream on top and spread it all over. Place the next layer and drizzle some sugar syrup and then spread the cream mixture.
  8. Keep in fridge for 1 to 2 hours (Do not Freeze). Garnish with sprinklers or cherries.
  9. For making Dulce de leche place a can of unopened sweetened condensed milk in cooker and add enough water to the cooker so that the can is completely immersed in water.
  10. Switch on the gas and when steam starts to come put the whistle on and when you hear a whistle reduce the flame to minimum and let it simmer for 25 to 30 minutes and then switch off the flame.
  11. Once cooled down completely take the can out and let it cool for some more time. Then open the can and you have the dulce de leche ready.
