1 Minute Microwave Mug cake!

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
  • Coco powder - 1.5 tsp (Unsweetened)
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • A pinch of salt
  • Chocolate chips - 2 tsp (optional)
  • Crushed walnuts - 1 tsp
  • Fruit jam - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - 2 tbsp
  • Cooking oil - 1 tbsp

Steps

  1. In a microwave safe mug add flour, sugar, coco powder, salt and baking powder.
  2. Add chocolate chips and walnuts. Mix thoroughly using a spoon.
  3. Add milk, jam and oil. Continue to stir.
  4. Microwave on high for 1 minute, if not sure then microwave for another 10 seconds.
  5. Take out, let it cool a little then have it warm or you can have it sizzling with a scoop of ice cream on top.
My Tip: You can choose - fruit jams, marmalade or 'Nutella'. Add nuts and chocolate chips to enhance the taste. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave.

  • Khursheed Vajifdar7 months ago

I agree with Harshi Thakkar. Also it's a must for any microwave dish to have a standing time i.e. not to open d microwave immediately after d cooking time is done

hi i tried this it was very dry? also sonal sons you may have to put the jam bec mine was pretty bitter wonder where i went wrong. i had to put milk to smoothen.it.

after a min in microwave u should rest it for another min in microwave without opening it, the heat within ensures cooking of any portion left uncooked plus the cake doesn't dry out n remains moist n spongy
