Ingredients to make Oats Laddoo (1 year +)

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 to 4 Green cardamom
  • 1 cup grated jaggery/ Palm Sugar
  • 2-3 tsp honey/ maple syrup

How to make Oats Laddoo (1 year +)

  1. On medium heat, dry roast oats and sesame separately until lightly golden.
  2. Let them cool. Toss the peanuts and remove their skin.
  3. Powder oats, sesame seeds and peanuts in a blender.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan and add the powdered mixture.
  5. Add the jaggery and mix well.
  6. Take the mixture off heat and add maple syrup or honey.
  7. Roll to balls or layer into a pan, chill and cut into squares.
  8. Store in an airtight jar.

My Tip:

Adjust jaggery according to the quantity of honey used. The mixture can be coarse as per your child's preference. It is important to consult your doctor before introducing new foods.
