Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup rice flour
  2. 1 cup Sugar
  3. 1 & ĵ cup water
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. 100 gms Pure Ghee
  6. 3 pod cardamom powder
  7. 2 pods cardamom
  8. 3 pinches of saffron
  9. 4 tbsp of mixed dry fruits ( almond pistachio & cashew)
  10. ½ cup Khoya grated (Optional)

Instructions

  1. In a deep vessel add in water with cardamom & saffron. Boil on a low flame. Keep aside
  2. In another wok add in ghee. When hot add the whole cardamoms.
  3. When cardamom crackles, add in the rice flour
  4. Roast the flour till light brown in color. Once light brown add in mixed nuts & give a quick stir.
  5. Add in the prepared saffron cardamom syrup. Take care while adding as bubbles will come up
  6. Stir till all the water is absorbed and it starts leaving the sides.
  7. Add sugar and stir till it dissolves
  8. Add khoya and keep stirring for few minutes till it mixes up with entire the halwa.
  9. Garnish with silver leaves and dry nuts
