Ingredients to make Farsi Puri , diwali namkeen

  • all purpose flour 1 cup or 200 gms
  • semolina 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper corns 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • ghee 3 tbsp
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 tsp black onion seeds
  • water 4 1/2 tbsp

How to make Farsi Puri , diwali namkeen

  1. Take a big bowl
  2. Mix flour , semolina , salt , crushed peppers with your hand
  3. Now put water , very less , I took 4 and 1/2 tbsp
  4. The dough will be hard
  5. Now keep aside for 20 mins
  6. After 20 mins , divide the dough into small balls I got 13
  7. Roll them with the help of rolling pin
  8. You will not get smooth edges , but it's ok
  9. Now heat oil for 10 mins
  10. Fry the puris in 3_4 together at a time
  11. Fry untill they are little brownish and crispy
  12. After that store them in airtight container
