Pistachio Mawa Barfi

Ingredients to make Pistachio Mawa Barfi

  • pistachio 1 cup without shells
  • mawa 2 tbsp
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • green colour 1 drop
  • ghee 1 tsp

How to make Pistachio Mawa Barfi

  1. Soak pistachios in enough warm water for 30 mins
  2. Now grind them to a fine paste using little water
  3. In a nonstick pan boil sugar and water for 6_7 mins , until 1 string consistency
  4. Add pistachios paste and food colour
  5. Add cardamom powder , mawa too
  6. Stir continuously , for 7_8 mins
  7. Grease a plate with ghee
  8. When the pistachio mixture will look sticky and dry , it will leave the sides switch off the gas
  9. Spread evenly in the plate
  10. Cut with a knife and store for 3_4 days

My Tip:

You can use a piece of butter paper for spreading the mixture , press with a glass and butter paper , you don't have to touch with your hands
