Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 3 sweet potatoes (pink)
  2. 4 tbs jaggery powder
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Pinch of elaichi powder
  5. 1 1/2 cups multigrain atta
  6. 1/2 cup wholegrain atta
  7. Salt for dough
  8. ghee

Instructions

  1. Boil and peel potatoes, mash along with jaggery, salt and cardamom powder, to a smooth dry filling.
  2. Make lemon sized balls
  3. For dough, use both flours and salt. Knead to a soft dough. Rest for half an hour. Make equal no of balls as the filling and roll into small discs.
  4. Fill the sweet potato balls inside the flour discs and cover well.
  5. Apply dry flour and roll into rounds like puranpoli.
  6. Roast on both sides by applying ghee.
  7. Relish goodness this diwali
