Instant Kalakand

Ingredients to make Instant Kalakand

  • chena --chena of 1litr of milk
  • condense milk - 300 gms
  • sugar -1tbsp
  • Elachi powder --1/2 tsp
  • chopped pista and nuts -1 tbsp
  • ghee- 1 12tbsp

How to make Instant Kalakand

  1. Heat a pan with 1litr milk.once starts boiling add 1-2tbsp viniger.
  2. now it starts curlding. green water separate from chena.
  3. turn off gas. put chena into the muslin cotton cloth.
  4. drain all green water. Then wash chena in cold running water...squeeze tightly if any excess water there .
  5. tie the chena cloth .hang it on kitchen tap for 30 -40 mins
  6. now heat a pan with 1 1/2 tbsp ghee.add chena and condense milk.
  7. mix properly. Reduce gas on low flame .stir continuously to prevent the stick to the bottom of the pan.
  8. then add 1tbsp sugar. adding sugar is totally optional .
  9. stir it till the mixture separate from the side of the pan and look like a thick mass.
  10. turn off gas. Now add elachi powder and mix it well. grease a plate with 1tbsp of ghee. spread chena mixture on the plate .
  11. now spread chopped pista and nuts.
  12. wait for few minutes. then cut instant Kalakand as per desire shape.
  13. now ready instant Kalakand for serving.
  14. I here made orange and chocolate Kalakand also.
  15. for orange Kalakand ,mix 1/4tsp orange colour and 2drops orange essence to the chena mixture. Mix it well.then follow the same process as above.
  16. for chocolate Kalakand ,add 3tbsp coco powder to chena mixture and mix it well. Then follow the same process as above.
