Kala Jamuns

Ingredients to make Kala Jamuns

  • 1 cup Milk powder
  • 1/4 cup APF
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp sooji
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • oil to fry
  • For sugar Syrup :
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom Powder
  • For stuffing:
  • Take few tbsps of ur favourite nuts
  • Pinch of saffron
  • Heavy cream
  • A little dough we make for jamuns

How to make Kala Jamuns

  1. First prepare the syrup by boiling all ingredients mentioned under sugar syrup for 10 min without stirring.Set it aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl mix APF, baking powder,sooji & milk powder.
  3. Add in the egg and make a dough.
  4. Make balls out of it.
  5. Mix all the stuffing ingredients and place a small amount of it in the middle of the balls & roll again.
  6. Deep fry in hot oil.
  7. Soak all the fried jamuns in the prepared sugar syrup for an hour.
