Ingredients to make Mango Pickle (for instant use)

  • 2 cups - Raw Mango pieces washed and dried
  • 2 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp - Salt
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • 2 - Red chilies (whole dry)
  • 2 tbsp - Oil

How to make Mango Pickle (for instant use)

  1. Take a glass bowl and add chopped mangoes. Rub the mango pieces with salt and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, heat oil in a steel frying pan and add in mustard seeds, chilies and few curry leaves.
  3. When the mustard seeds start to pop, add in all the powders. Stir to combine well.
  4. Now mix in the salt rubbed chopped mango pieces. Bottle up upon cooling and store in a refrigerator.

My Tip:

Choose fresh green raw mangoes.
