ABOUT Papaya Almond Halwa RECIPE

Papaya Almond Halwa is a tasty and a healthy dessert to be prepared for any occasions. This is a fruit which most of the kids hate to eat. Making the kids to eat this fruit is a big challenge for almost every parents. This is the best way to make them eat in a form of sweet. The well riped papaya is made as pulp and and cooked with sugar, almond powder, coconut and ghee. It is garnished with ghee roasted cashews and raisins. Papaya, almond together added here will be the healthiest option not only for kids also for women.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Riped Papaya - 250 grams
  2. Almonds - 50 Grams
  3. Sugar - 1 cup
  4. Shredded Coconut - 1/2 Cup
  5. Cardamom Powder - 1 teaspoon
  6. Cashew - 10
  7. Raisins - 10
  8. Ghee - 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Cut the riped papaya and grind it in a mixer into a thick pulp. Keep it aside.
  2. Grind the almonds into powder.
  3. In a pan heat 2 teaspoons of ghee and fry cashews and raisins. Keep it aside.
  4. In the same pan add the pulp and stir it well.
  5. After 5 minutes add sugar and cardamom powder. Stir it well continuously.
  6. When the sugar dissolves well add almond powder, coconut and stir it well.
  7. When the sweet boils and starts thickening add 2 tablespoon of ghee and stir it well till it becomes thick.
  8. Finally add the fried cashews and raisins and turn off the flame. Tasty and healthy halwa is ready.
