Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup - maida
  2. A pinch of baking soda
  3. 2 tbsp - ghee
  4. 1 tbsp - Curd
  5. water as needed to make a soft dough
  6. Oil for Deep frying
  7. For the Sugar Syrup:
  8. 1/2 Cup - Sugar
  9. 1/4 cup - water
  10. Few saffron strands

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the ghee, baking soda, curd and mix well. Add the flour to this mixture and make it to bread crumbs like mixture. Now add water and make it to a soft crack-free dough.
  2. Keep it aside for 10 - 15 minutes. Now make them into small lemon sized balls and flatten them. Make a thumb impression in the center to get the badusha shape. Make sugar syrup to one thread consistency and keep it aside.
  3. Deep fry them to golden color on low flame to cook from inside and out. Transfer them into the warm sugar syrup for few minutes and take out.
