Ingredients to make Sago/Mango Burfi..:blush::blush: my idea.

  • sago pearls a cup soaked overnight
  • Milk a cup
  • Condensed milk about half a tin
  • mango pulp of 2 mangoes. I used the frozen variety.
  • Nuts of your choice slivered 3 to 4 tbsp. I used pistachios.
  • butter or ghee 2 to 3 tbsp
  • cardamom powder a tsp

How to make Sago/Mango Burfi..:blush::blush: my idea.

  1. Cook the sago pearls in a cup of milk until soft for about 5 mins on medium flame.
  2. Add the mango pulp and the condensed milk.
  3. Mix well and add the ghee.
  4. Adding the ghee gives it a nice sheen and gloss.
  5. Add the cardamom powder and the nuts at this point and mix thoroughly.
  6. It will be little sticky at this point.
  7. Transfer it into a greased dish as soon as it thickens and cut into desired shapes on cooling.
  8. Serve them chilled. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

My Tip:

You can very well use the sugar or the powdered sugar instead. Also can use any dry fruits of your choice.
