Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  3. Pinch of saffron
  4. 1 tbsp ghee
  5. pinch lemon yellow color [edible]
  6. 4 Almonds chopped
  7. 4 Pistachios chopped
  8. 1 Tsp Elachi powder

Instructions

  1. Boil the Rice in a vessel.Do not add salt.
  2. Drain the Rice when done.Do not overcook the rice.Cook till it is nearly done.
  3. Transfer the rice from the vessel to a pan .Add sugar ,Saffron,Yellow Color.
  4. Place a tawa under the pan and let the rice cookon a medium flame.
  5. Stir occasionaly very lightly, so that the rice grain does not break.
  6. When the Sugar caramalises, the rice will begin turning golden yellow in color.
  7. Cook till the entire sugar is absorbed by the rice.
  8. When sugar is absorbed, add elachi powder,chopped almonds and chopped pistachios.
  9. Over it add piping hot melted ghee to the Tari.
  10. Serve Piping hot garnished with the remaining almonds n pistachios.
