Mawa Gulab jamun

Ingredients to make Mawa Gulab jamun

  • mawa or khoya 250 grams
  • maida 1 tbsp
  • cornflour 1 tsp
  • sugar 2 cups
  • water 2 cups
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Rose water 1 tsp

How to make Mawa Gulab jamun

  1. Grate mawa and mash well with maida and cornflour.
  2. Make a smooth dough, rest it for 10 mins.
  3. Make small and smooth balls, if need use little ghee on palm.
  4. Mix water, sugar and cardamom powder for syrup and cook on high flame for one string consistency. If itis done, cover and keep aside.
  5. Heat oil or ghee in a wok, add 4 to 5 jamuns/balls in one time. Fry on sim flame till brown, remove from oil, fry all jamuns like this.
  6. After 1 min add these balls in warm sugar syrup, cover and keep aside for 2 hours, take out from syrup and serve.
