Carrot Laddu

Ingredients to make Carrot Laddu

  • carrot 3 nos grated
  • coconut 150 gms grated
  • sugar 150 gms
  • sugar 150 ml
  • almonds 5_6 grated
  • ghee 1 tsp
  • Milk 4 tsp
  • Condensed Milk 2 tbsp
  • orange colour 1 drop small
  • cardamom powder 1 /2 tsp

How to make Carrot Laddu

  1. First make sugar syrup
  2. Boil water , add sugar
  3. Continue to boil until you get 1 string consistency , stir occasionally , some saffron strands can also be added
  4. Grind grated coconut and carrot separately for smooth textured laddoo with milk 2 tsp for each
  5. Now add coconut in the pan with sugar syrup
  6. Continue to stir for 7_8 mins
  7. The mixture will be watery
  8. Let all the water dry up , add carrot
  9. Again mix and stir for 6_7 mins
  10. Now add condensed milk
  11. Also add cardamom powder , you can use some raisins too
  12. After 5 mins or so the mixture will be sticky and dry
  13. Make a greased plate ready
  14. Add 1 tsp ghee to the carrot coconut mixture
  15. Take a small portion and check you can make laddoo or not
  16. Switch off gas
  17. Spread the mixture in the olate and make equal sized balls
  18. Garnish the laddos with almonds , press them little

My Tip:

Wash your hands with cold water and grease your palms with ghee before making balls , be careful , don't burn your hands !
