Ingredients to make Malai jamuns

  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 2 cups milk powder
  • 300 ml thickened cream
  • 3 cups sugar and 3 cups water for sugar syrup
  • oil for deep frying

How to make Malai jamuns

  1. sift the self raising flour and keep it aside
  2. now take a bowl and mix sifted flour and milk powder
  3. now add thickened cream little by little to make the dough and make balls
  4. now make sugar syrup by taking equal quantities of sugar and water .. you should cook until you get one string consistency..
  5. add cardamom pods and saffron strands to the syrup if you like.
  6. take oil for deep frying
  7. the temperature of the oil should be moderate .. check the temperature of the oil and start putting balls in the oil n fry it until it turns golden brown.
  8. now add the fried balls in the syrup and let it rest for 20-30 mins in the syrup
  9. that's it your soft and yummy jamuns are ready to serve

My Tip:

After making dough don't rest it for long.. If the oil is too hot your jamuns will turn brown quickly and if it's not hot enough then your James bs will crack ..
