ABOUT Maash Ke Laddu (Urad Dal) RECIPE

Our family's favourite ones especially during winters. Melt in the mouth gorgeous looking fantabulous laddus will liven up your day.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. urad dal 1 cup
  2. Powdered sugar 3/4 th cup
  3. Cardamom powder a tsp
  4. Dry fruits of your choice slivered about 4 to 5 tbsp. I used pistachios.
  5. Ghee or butter 3/4 th cup
  6. milk 2 to 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the dal with a tbsp of ghee.
  2. It will take about 20 mins on low flame.
  3. Do not hurry at all as this step determines the taste of your laddus. The dal should be roasted evenly and not burnt.
  4. After the roasting, dry grind it and keep it aside.
  5. Powder the sugar also in the dry grinder.
  6. Now mix the dal, sugar, nuts and cardamom powder well.
  7. Add in the melted ghee and mix well.
  8. At this point add milk and start shaping into laddus.
  9. Yummy healthy and nutritious laddus are ready to be served.
  10. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge and relish for a month
