ABOUT Pepper Rasam RECIPE

I love Rasam.....this has so much of amazing aroma of Hing and i love to have this when I have sour throat and I think that is the time I just try all sorts of different rasam just to soothe my throat...So here I come with another rasam recipe with little bit of masala powder

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Pepper Corn:- 3 tbsp
  2. Cummin Seeds:- 1 1/2 tbsp
  3. Garlic:- 7-8 cloves
  4. Coarsely ground all above ingredients and set aside
  5. Tomato:- 3 grind to paste
  6. curry leaves
  7. Coriander leaves
  8. coriander powder:- 1 tsp
  9. turmeric powder:- 1/2 tsp
  10. Chilli Powder:- 1/2 tsp
  11. Hing:- 1 tsp
  12. Oil as required
  13. Mustard Seeds :- 1 tsp
  14. Methi Seeds :- 1/2 tsp
  15. Methi Powder :- 1/2tsp
  16. Salt to paste
  17. Jaggery :- Optional
  18. Tamarind Juice:- 1 big lemon size tamaraind soak in water and take out the pump

Instructions

  1. Heat oil add mustard seeds allow it to splutter, add methi seeds, curry leaves and ground masala stir for sometime.
  2. Add tomato paste and fry until the raw smell of tomato goes off.Add all powdered masala except methi powder and fry for sometime.
  3. Add tamarind juice, salt and water allow it boil for 6-7 mins
  4. Add coriander leaves and methi powder cover with lids for 5 mins and switch off the flame.
  5. Serve hot with rice or just have like soup
