ABOUT POACHED FISH WITH FRIED GARLIC AND GREENS RECIPE

Sometimes we like to skip eating heavy and spicy food. This is a perfect and light dish for such occasions. Simple and less time consuming one. You can have a bowl of soup or a salad to go with it. Select any fleshy fish without bones. You may use any greens of your choice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Fish fillet ... 2 (cut into small cubes of 2"x2")
  2. Garlic ...... 12 - 15 cloves chopped
  3. Coriander leaves ... 1/2 cup
  4. Parsley .................. 1/4 cup
  5. Salt ........ to taste
  6. Black pepper .. 1-2 pinches
  7. Olive oil .... 4-5 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Clean the fish fillet and cut into pieces as desired.
  2. Boil water in a saucepan adding salt as required.
  3. Tip in the fish pieces and allow them to simmer for one minute each side turning it carefully.
  4. While the fish is being poached, heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic to a nice brown colour. Add the greens and toss them with salt and pepper.
  5. Remove the poached fish in a serving platter and spoon the fried garlic with greens on the pieces evenly.
