Ingredients to make Besan kachoris

  • all purpose flour. 300gms
  • gram flour/besan. 150gms
  • Suji. 50gms
  • oil. 3tbsp+ for frying
  • hing. 1/2tsp
  • Coursely grounded saunf. 2tsp
  • Red chillie. 1 tsp or according to taste
  • turmeric powder. 1 tsp
  • Corriender powder. 2tsp
  • amchur powder. 2tsp
  • salt

How to make Besan kachoris

  1. Take all purpose flour and suji in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add salt and 2tbsp oil.
  3. Rub the flour well with hands.
  4. Add water and make a smooth dough with it. It should neither be soft nor hard.
  5. In another bowl, take gram flour and add all the spices along with salt in it.
  6. Add a tbsp oil and rub it.
  7. Add water and make a dough. The consistency should be dame as maida dough.
  8. Now take some maida dough and roll out a small kachori about 2 inches.
  9. Take some besan mix and stuff it in maida kachori.
  10. Fold it like you do for stuffed parathas
  11. Now roll out again.
  12. Do this with the rest of dough.
  13. Once they are made, deep fry them.
  14. Fry them both sides till they are golden brown.
  15. Take out on an absorbent sheet.
  16. Enjoy them.

My Tip:

Keep your dough covered with wet cloth while you're making the kachori. The dough should not get dry.
