  • coconut grated 1 cup or 200 gms
  • Green chilli 3
  • tomato 1 small
  • onion 1 small chopped
  • garlic Pods 2
  • salt as per taste
  • tamarind paste 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves 6_7
  • red dry chilli 2 , 1 for the seasoning and the other for grinding with coconut
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • chilli powder a pinch
  • black mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • ginger chopped 1/2 tsp
  • oil 2 tsp

How to make Tomato coconut spicy tangy chutney Ready in 2 mins

  1. Grind together grated coconut , green chilli , chopped onion , garlic chopped , ginger a small piece , salt
  2. Heat oil in a nonstick pan
  3. Add black mustard seeds
  4. Let them crackle
  5. Add 1 red dry chilli and curry leaves
  6. Add asafoetida and red chilli powder
  7. Add ground coconut paste and 1/4 cup of water
  8. Check for salt and spices if you want you can add some sugar too
  9. When the chutney becomes thick add lemon juice
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves
  11. Your lipsmacking chutney is ready in 2 mins !
