COLD WHEAT PASTA SALAD

Ingredients to make COLD WHEAT PASTA SALAD

  • FOR THE PASTA
  • 10 - 12 pieces of wheat PENNE Pasta
  • water as required
  • 1/4 th part of red bell pepper , cut in julienne
  • 1/4 th part of yellow bell pepper cut in julienne
  • 1/4 th part of green capsicum , cut in julienne
  • salt to taste
  • For the dressing
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chilly flakes
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • salt to taste

How to make COLD WHEAT PASTA SALAD

  1. FOR THE PASTA
  2. Soak pasta with little salt in enough water for 4 hours , so that they become soft
  3. After 4 hours put the pasta in a microwave proof bowl along with some water
  4. First micro it for 30 seconds , then again for 30 seconds
  5. If you feel the pasta is not cooked properly then micro for one more minute
  6. When done drain out the extra water from the pasta and keep them aside to cool down completely
  7. FOR MAKING THE DRESSING
  8. Take a mixing bowl and put together tomato sauce , mustard sauce , oregano , chilly flakes , lime juice and salt , mix nicely .
  9. The dressing is ready
  10. Keep the dressing , pasta and bell peppers inthe fridge before assembling them for half an hour
  11. FOR ASSEMBLING
  12. In a big mixing bowl put soaked pasta , red bell pepper julienne , yellow bell julienne , green capsicum julienne and the ready dressing , mix all of them nicely but gently with your hands .
  13. The salad is ready
  14. Before serving only assemble all the ingredients , so that it doesn't becomes soggy , specially the bell peppers
  15. Serve chilled whenever required
  16. The pasta doesn't tastes like raw one , i tasted it and it was really good .

Always assemble the pasta , bell peppers and dressing whenever required , otherwise it may become soggy specially the bell peppers
