Suji/ Rava Cup Dhokla in 2 mins

Ingredients to make Suji/ Rava Cup Dhokla in 2 mins

  • For the dhokla batter:
  • Suji: 2 tbsp
  • Little sour curd: 1 tbsp
  • water: 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder to taste
  • ginger: 1/2 tsp grated (optional)
  • Green chilli paste: 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • sugar: 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice: 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda: 1/2 tsp
  • For tempering:
  • oil: 2 tbsp
  • mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli: 1, cut lengthwise
  • sugar a pinch
  • lemon juice: 1/2 tbsp
  • water: 1/4 cup or 5-6 tbsp
  • For garnishing:
  • coriander leaves: 1 tbsp chopped

How to make Suji/ Rava Cup Dhokla in 2 mins

  1. Grease a microwave safe small bowl or cup. Keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl mix in the suji, curd and water. Then mix it well together. Next add salt, red chilli powder and mix again.
  3. Now add ginger, green chilli paste, sugar, lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Finally add in the baking soda and mix well.
  5. Pour it in a greased micro safe bowl or cup. Then put it in the microwave and cook it on a high heat for 2 minutes.
  6. In the mean time, prepare the tempering. Take oil in a pan and heat it on a high flame.
  7. Lower the flame, add in the mustard seeds and let it sizzle for a minute.
  8. Add green chilli and let it fry till it turns golden in colour. It will take a minute.
  9. Next add the sugar and mix it with a spoon. Then turn off the flame. Add water and mix it, then keep it aside.
  10. Turn off the microwave. Take the bowl out and let it cool a bit.
  11. Transfer it to a serving plate (or if you want to eat it in a cup let it remain in it). Pour the tempering on it.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it with green chutney.
